Regular Season Round 12: Telavi - Prievidza 71-68

There was an upset when higher ranked SlovakianPrievidza (5-3) was edged by twenty sixth ranked Georgian Telavi (3-5) 71-68 on Saturday. Telavi started the game with a very strong first quarter 18-9 . But Prievidza won second period 21-16 . However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Telavi forced 24 Prievidza turnovers. Strangely Prievidza outrebounded Telavi 61-40 including a 41-30 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Nikolozi Bodaveli (-2009) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and point guard Nikoloz Tuliani (160-2010) who added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Michal Bohat with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and Filip Torac produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Prievidza's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Telavi have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Telavi went down to 37th position due to points difference, which they share with 3 other teams. Prievidza lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the 43th place with three games lost.
